The Elks thru the generosity of Elks members who have donated freely to our National Foundation give lots of scholarships away. The most significant is our annual Most Valuable Student scholarship. For the 2001 year 500 Four year awards will be given away. This totals $2,216,000! 

The requirements

• Resident of Rowan County
• High School Senior
• Application filed no later than Jan 12, 2001

Applications are judged on financial need, leadership and scholarship.  Names of the winners will be announced May 15, 2001. In the Rowan County, NC area all high school guidance counselors are given the application form. You may also obtain one at www.elks.org/enf
