DRUGS Do you want to try drugs? Have you already? Where will you go? What will you eat? How will you survive? One early afternoon around three o'clock my son, Riley, sprinted through the door almost tearing the hinges off and bolted upstairs. I darted towards his room. His door was slammed shut and all I heard was sobbing. I slowly stepped in and glanced at the drugs scattered on the floor. I asked him "what's wrong?". "Nothing", he answered, as he picked the drugs up and threw them down. "Honey, let me tell you what your future will be like in about five years from now if you keep abusing those illicit drugs. Think about where you would be if I kicked you out and you were homeless with no money? You would be a vagabond living on the streets begging for money. You would be so addicted to drugs that you would buy more even if you didn't have much money. Drugs are very bad for your body. You could die from them or get hurt very badly. Drugs mess your mind up so much that you can even forget your name." Riley answered as he glanced at the drugs, "I didn't take them but I was going to because of peer pressure". Mother responded, "Son, peer pressure is what everyone goes through. Kids want to be cool so they take stupid risks. The main point is Do Not Do Drugs!". "Thanks mom", Riley replied.
